10 Years On: The Making of the First Female Statue in Parliament Square
House of Commons, Saint Margaret Street, London
The Millicent Fawcett statue was commissioned to mark 100 years of women’s suffrage and unveiled in April 2018 by Prime Minister Theresa May. Created by Gillian Wearing, the event will include a panel with arts specialist Jordan Kaplan and architect Tony Dyson, who led the commissioning process.
